Sidney Ho (b.1989) is a contemporary artist born in Toronto, Canada currently working and residing in Markham, Canada. He specializes in figurative oil paintings on canvas, linen, and panel, and charcoal drawings on paper using a mixed technique with modelling paste, acrylics, pastel, conté, and Indian Ink.

Sidney’s work leans heavily into the use of light and shadows, his modern take on chiaroscuro and tenebrism. He is particularly interested in illuminating the intimate trials we share. There is a profound beauty in our darkest moments and life is the pain we endure between smiles.
